I use statistical learning and econometrics to study technological change, labor, and financial risk. My work uses panel data, time series, text, and images.
ESG Research Analyst Co-op at BCICapital Markets & Credit Investments (Sep–Dec 2026)
I developed context-adjusted earnings-call tone measures for investment signal research. On 1,901 held-out 2025 calls, a one-SD answer-tone residual was associated with +61.5 bps in one-day market-adjusted return, alongside positive tone-prediction OOS R² and pre-event placebo checks.
As the sole RA on a faculty-led study, I compare measures of technological change and panel fixed-effects designs, using labor, occupation, and patent data to study wages and occupational sorting.
I developed notebooks, courseware, and workshops for economics and social science students, applying computer vision, NLI, and sentiment analysis to historical and economic research.
